Viking Athletic Facilities
Viking Stadium serves as the home field for the Viking football and soccer teams. Constructed in 2007, the stadium features artificial FieldTurf, a scoreboard with jumbotron video screen, a large fan plaza overlooking the field, a 1,700-seat grandstand with 400 chairback seats at midfield and a Reception center that includes a concession stand, ticket office and restroom.
roger evans athletic center
The 23,000 square foot, two-story Roger Evans Athletic Center opened in the Fall of 2017. Named in loving memory of beloved former LCS coach and teacher Roger Evans, this building features the A.H. "Hank" Varnum Viking Hall of Honor, the Morrow Family Strength and Conditioning Center, the Wilbanks Family Student Study Center, Howard Hall (a large multi-purpose hall for meetings, banquets, activities and events), a varsity football club house, a training facility, coach offices, soccer/lacrosse/cheerleading/middle school football locker rooms, a conference room and much more.
Joe & Alberta Blanton Activity Center
The Joe & Alberta Blanton Center houses the Schroeter Gymnasium and serves as the main athletic facility for our basketball and volleyball teams. The gym features three full courts.
Viking Baseball Field
The Viking baseball field is located along Forest Park Street, just across the street from the Blanton Center. During the 2016-2017 school year, a two-story concession stand and press box was added to the baseball complex. It also includes storage and restroom facilities.
Off-Site “Home” Athletic Facilities
The Viking softball teams play their home games at the Westside Softball Complex located at 1800 North Oakhill in Lakeland.
The Viking tennis teams play their home matches at the Woodlake Tennis Courts located at 3415 New Jersey Road in Lakeland.
Home swim and dive meets take place at Gandy Pool located at 404 Imperial Boulevard in Lakeland.
The LCS boys' golf team hosts home matches at Lone Palm Golf Course located at 800 Lone Palm Drive in Lakeland.
